Outfit: Red Winter Layers

Happy Monday everyone!

I hope everyone had a great weekend. We had a pretty good weekend even though we had a big temperature drop combined with a blistering wind chill. The hubby and I went to dinner and a comedy show with some good friends of ours. We had a wonderful time catching up with them. I will be glad when they are able to move to Atlanta.

Outfit: Pink, Green, and Leopard on Leopard

Hello everyone!

There's just something about dressing up that makes me feel really good. One of my college roommates always commented on how I always got DRESSED for class. She said, "You never see you go to class in sweats." I actually didn't really own any sweats outside of my cheerleading practice wear and game day uniforms. My appearance affected how I felt, which affected my academic performance. I remember there was a time when I did go to class in my cheerleading sweats and I just felt like I wanted to put my head down and take a nap. From that day on, I made sure I got DRESSED for class.

I still live by the same rules today. For me, feeling good begins with looking good. Now don't get me wrong, there are days when I stay in my lounge clothes all day. But when I want to feel pretty, I get DRESSED. Even when I am sick or in a bad mood, my outfit can give me a little boost back the other way.

An evening gown makes me feel elegant, ruffles and lace make me feel ultra feminine, just as a suit makes me feel like a CEO. Can an outfit change your mood or alter how you feel?

My Target Prabal Gurung Picks

What did I do this morning? I woke up my husband, bribed him with breakfast, and dashed out of the house to see the Prabal Gurung collection. I was there before 9 am and there was already a huge dent in the availability. Of course my size wasn't available in the items I decided to purchase; so it looks like I will have to order my picks online.

This dress is beautiful, I LOVE it...if it were only my size. If you were able to see behind me, you would see 6 inches of fabric in the back. The smallest size on the rack was an 8. The 4 would have been a perfect fit, if it fits like all of the other dresses.

This another one of my favorites. This peplum is perfect for me, but I can see someone tall having an issue with this top being too short. For reference I am 5'1''. It is also one size too small in a 2; a 4 would have been PERFECT.

Have you been to Target to check out Prabal Gurung?
