Outfit: Pink, Green, and Leopard on Leopard

Hello everyone!

There's just something about dressing up that makes me feel really good. One of my college roommates always commented on how I always got DRESSED for class. She said, "You never see you go to class in sweats." I actually didn't really own any sweats outside of my cheerleading practice wear and game day uniforms. My appearance affected how I felt, which affected my academic performance. I remember there was a time when I did go to class in my cheerleading sweats and I just felt like I wanted to put my head down and take a nap. From that day on, I made sure I got DRESSED for class.

I still live by the same rules today. For me, feeling good begins with looking good. Now don't get me wrong, there are days when I stay in my lounge clothes all day. But when I want to feel pretty, I get DRESSED. Even when I am sick or in a bad mood, my outfit can give me a little boost back the other way.

An evening gown makes me feel elegant, ruffles and lace make me feel ultra feminine, just as a suit makes me feel like a CEO. Can an outfit change your mood or alter how you feel?

Outfit: The Red Coat, a Giveaway, and a Collaboration

Hello, everyone!

It has been a little cooler here in Atlanta, so I am being forced to wear a coat. For some reason, I really don't like wearing coats, but I love wearing this one. I always feel super stylish when I wear it, so it is an exception to my NO COAT campaign.

:: Outfit ::
Coat: Forever 21 (old)(similar here)
bag: Betsy Johnson (seen here and here)
boots: Ann Taylor Loft (last worn here)
accessories: Target gloves and tights, Michael Kors earrings (also worn here)

I collaborated with Carly of Lipgloss and Crayons, on of my favorite bloggers, for a Trend Collaboration. Go on over and check out how we each wear our plaid!

Oh, and I am giving away this stunning Michael Kors bracelet!
Good luck!

Outfit: Spring Colors in Winter

Happy Friday everyone!

I hope everyone has had a wonderful Holiday so far and is ready for 2013.

With only a few more days before the new year, winter has finally reached us here in Atlanta. Sometimes I find myself gravitating towards dark colors when the weather starts to cool off. Just because winter has arrived, that doesn't mean the pastels and bright colors have to be put away. Wearing color always brightens my mood.

Who says you can't wear color in the winter?!

Outfit: Floral and Color Blocked Skirt

I have had these Michael Kors platform sandals for about three years now. They are the highest and the most comfortable sandals I own, and that's including flats. I can walk in these all day with no problem. There is no toe rubbing, no pain on the ball of my feet, the instep is at a perfect angle, and they are the perfect shade of nude for my complexion. I can literally wear these sandals with everything. If you find a pair of sandals this perfect, hang on to them. These babies will be with me until they fall apart.

I just love TJ Maxx, Marshals, and Ross; you can save a ton of money by shopping at any of these chains. These stores often have items that are currently in the department stores for up to 60% less. I scored this top and skirt for less than $40 at TJ Maxx earlier this year. I try to visit my local stores at least once a week, because they get new shipments of merchandise every week.

I am linking up to What I Wore Wednesday.

Thank you so much for reading!
