Outfit: All Black Everything w/Eshakti

About a few months ago Jennifer from Eshakti contacted me regarding a review for their brand. I wasn't familiar with them, so I turned to faithful old 'Google'. I read many reviews from other bloggers and decided to give them a try. As a curvy petite girl, I do sometimes have fit issues with some of my clothing, which forces me to spend extra money on alterations in order to get that perfect fit we all love. When I discovered eShakti specializes in custom fit clothing, I was sold. I looked at every single item on their site, and I fell in love with the Starlit ruffled jacket.

The detailing on this jacket is to die for! I placed my order for a custom jacket, which meant I had to send in my measurements. I placed my order and the jacket arrived two weeks later. I know that seems like a lifetime in online clothing orders; but for an article of clothing that's a PERFECT fit, it was well worth the wait!

I absolutely LOVE everything about this jacket. If you haven't checked out Eshakti, I strongly suggest you do. You will get that custom tailored fit for an off the rack price.

:: Outfit ::
top: Kenar via TJ Maxx, Eshakti jacket c/o
bottom: Kirna Zabete for Target faux leather pants
shoes: Cynthia Rowley (worn here and here)
bag: Target Merona clutch (old) (similar here)
accessories: Michael Kors wrap bracelet (similar here), silver ring via TJ Maxx (similar here)

Thank you so much for reading!

Pera Palace Hotel Istanbul, Turkey - Part IV

The Pera Palace is such a beautiful hotel, I thought it deserved to have it's own post.  Hotel Pera Palace is a historical and world famous luxury hotel in Istanbul. It was built in 1892 for the purpose of hosting the passengers of the Orient Express and was named after the place it is located. It holds the title of "the oldest European hotel of Turkey".  Agatha Christie was in fact one of the hotel's most ardent visitors.  The "Agatha Christie Room", number 411, is now preserved in her honor.  It is rumored that she wrote Murder on the Orient Express here.

This elevator is still operational; each guest is taken for a ride on this elevator upon checking into their room. There is a more modern elevator located in the lobby for everyday use.

So...while we were behind the rope taking pictures in the elevator - my husband's idea - we got caught!  The bellhop passed by us and stopped right in front of us. I was sure he was going to tell us to we weren't allowed to be behind the rope, but he didn't'. He asked us if we wanted him to take our picture -

Old air vents used when the hotel didn't have air conditioning and was only two floors.

If you ever visit Istanbul, you must make Pera Palace a stop on your tour.
