Outfit: I wish I had more gingham in my life

I wish I had a gingham shirt in every color in the world. I don't know what it is about this print that I love so much, but I wish I had more of it in my collection. This is the only gingham print anything I own; something I purchased about 6 or 7 years ago from American Eagle. Yes, I know, I am a clothes hoarder. I think I may even have a few items in my closet from high school, which was more than 15 years ago.

These jeans are, by far, the most comfortable jeans I have ever worn; they are Gap's 1969 legging jeans. They literally feel like I am wearing yoga pants. I purchased this bright watermelon pair last year on clearance, so when I saw them in red and blue (on sale now), I bought them too. They also came in purple, but I already had a pair of purple skinnies I purchased from Kohl's.

Gap keeps expanding their jean leggings and now have several styles. There is a cropped version, which is more of an ankle pant on me, and now an ankle zip version. When you get a chance you need to check them out. They fit like a glove, no matter your shape. This pair is actually a size larger than I would get, but because they are so stretchy, they stay up without any problems.

You will be seeing more of my Gap jean leggings real soon!

Thank you very much for reading!

Outfit: Pop of Pink

I hope everyone had a great weekend. The weather was great here in Atlanta; it hasn't gotten too hot yet.

I always get off to a slow start on Monday mornings. Dresses are always easy since there is no trying to match a top with a bottom.  I opted to wear this dress because it's comfortable and easy to style. I grabed one of my favorite items...my pink H&M blazer, to brighten things up a bit.

This blazer is one of my favorite pieces. When I saw it in the store, I had to have it. I only wish it came in more bright colors, maybe green or yellow.

...if you look really close, you will see that this pink belt is actually calf hair. You will see this belt soon in gold and blue.

Outfit: Weekend Stripes...

As you will come to see, I own a lot of dresses. They are fast, easy and stylish. Not to mention I find it easier to get a better fit with dresses than skirts and pants. Finding clothing to accommodate my larger hip and thighs and smaller waist is very challenging, and often requires expensive alterations. My alterations bag in my closet often sits in my closet for months. I try to take in at least 3 to 4 items at a time, because my tailor gives me a little discount the more items I have.

...Venus and Bella still trying to get in the picture!

Ok, Bella is first, while Venus is patiently waiting her turn.

If you look really close, you will see the top of Bella's head. I really think she wanted to take another picture.

Outfit: Daytime Sequins

Sequins is probably the one thing I love more than animal print. If I thought I could get away with wearing animal print and sequins together everyday, I would. So in an attempt to tone down my sequins for daytime, this is what I came up with.

When I saw this sequined cami dress on super sale at Express, I knew it would be perfect to wear as a skirt. I have been wanting a sequin skirt that was a little for flowy to tone down the sexiness for daytime wear. This "beige" (the color description used by Express) sequined dress is the golden bronze color;  I fell in love with it immediately. My creative mind stated racing with all of its possibilities.

Outfit: Orange Leopard

I must admit I have a little bit of an obsession with leopard, so you will probably see a lot of leopard on this blog. There was a time, a long time ago when I was in 8th grade, I wore A LOT of orange. I even had a pair of orange jeans. It always amazes me how trends come back in style...if I only still had those jeans.

I love the ponte skirts from Express; they are the best fitting skirts. I have a hard time finding bottoms that fit, since my waist is smaller and my hips and thighs are thick. Most skirts and pants that fit in the waist are too small in the hip and thigh area; and if they fit in the hip and thigh area, it's too big in the waist. Alterations are often needed, so when I find items that fit right off the rack, I buy it in all colors.

I have a version of this orange skirt in cream I bought last year, so I when I saw it in orange it was a no brainer...waiting on the next sale to get the navy blue.

Thanks for stopping by my blog, and have a great day!
